AKTIVITAS ANTIULSER EKSTRAK METANOL SARI BUAH MENGKUDU (Morinda citrifolia Linn.) PADA TIKUS PUTIH

ABSTRAK

 Telah dilakukan penelitian aktivitas antiulser dari ekstrak metanol sari buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia. Linn.) terhadap ulser lambung yang diinduksi  dengan HCl 0,15N dalam etanol 60% pada tikus putih jantan galur Wistar. Ekstrak metanol sari buah mengkudu diberikan peroral dengan dosis 300, 600 dan 1200 mg/kg BB. Sebagai kontrol positif digunakan simetidin  200 mg/kg BB. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol sari buah mengkudu pada ketiga dosis tersebut memberikan efek proteksi terhadap ulser sebesar 3,80%, 30,47% dan 60,95%, sedangkan simetidin 200 mg/kg BB memberikan efek proteksi sebesar 29,52%

ABSTRACT

Chemical marker compound for controlling the quality of the red ginger essential oils (Zingiber offcinale Rosc. var sunti Val.) had been carried out using gas chromatographic-mass spectroscopic method. The result indicated that zingiberenol can be used as chemical marker compound for purpose of controlling the quality of red ginger essential oils.

PENELUSURAN SENYAWA AKTIF ANTIOKSIDAN DARI DAUN JUNGRAHAB

(BAECKEA FRUTESCENS L.)

ABSTRACT

Antioxidant activity of the fractions  of jungrahab (Baeckeae frutescens) leaves  have been examined by xanthin/xanthin oxidase system. In this examination, The XO inhibitory and ·O2 scavenging activity was measured using an experiment kit SOD Test Wako and ·O2 generation was detected by the nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) reduction method. The concentrations of the extracts used were 250 and 500 mg/ml.

The result of this examination showed that all the fractions of ethyl acetate fractionations of the plant at the two concentrations gave high NBT reduction inhibitory activity. The inhibitory potency of CHCl3 fraction: 76,50 % (250 g/ml)  and 101,88 % (500 g/ml),  CHCl3 : Metanol (9:1) fraction:  197,75 % (250 g/ml)  and  85,43 % (500 g/ml), CHCl3 : Metanol (8 : 2) fraction:  71,33 % (250 g/ml)  and  100 % (500 g/ml),  CHCl3 : Metanol (7 : 3) fraction:  111,75 % (250 g/ml) and  92,48 % (500 g/ml),  fraksi CHCl3 : Metanol (5 : 5) fraction:  122,55 % (250 g/ml)  and  131,96 % (500 g/ml), metanol fraction : 115,04 % (250 g/ml) and 151,69 % (500 g/ml). Phenolic compounds are guessed to be antioxidant active compounds. 

 

EFEK VENOM LEBAH MADU (APIS CERANA L.) TERHADAP HEMOGLOBIN, SEL DARAH MERAH, DAN SEL DARAH PUTIH PADA TIKUS PUTIH

ABSTRACT

            An effect of honey bee (Apis cerana L.) venom on haemoglobin, erythrocytes and leucocytes of  female white rats (Rattus norvegicus) has been investigated. In this investigation, the venom doses used were 2.2, 4.4, and 8.8 mg/kg of body weight which were given intraperitoneally. The results showed that all doses decreased the numbers of hemoglobin, erythrocytes and leucocytes significantly as compared with the control. The highest effect was given by the dose of 8.84 mg/kg.
